Yesterday I told you that my just turned three year old often declares in the midst of  conversation a very sad fact of life: Abby died.

Another thing that she’s said a lot is

Is God with Abby?

Doesn’t that just make you smile? Yes, we tell her that God is with Abby. Sometimes she asks,

Is Abby with God?

Yes, Abby is with God.

    Although little Mary (as you said) has no memories of her own of Abby, this is one fact that she’ll always know: Abby is with God. She’ll know that truth better than most adults ever will. If we can all strive to have the faith of a child.
